What is a Vector image?
A vector image is an image or more commonly a drawing, made up of lines rather than pixels, which are what makes up a bitmap or raster image. A vector image can be scaled to any size without loosing data or resolution. It can also be more easily edited, where a bitmap cannot. Many industries require a vector image when reproducing a logo, because of scalability, image quality and the fact that their software recognizes a vector images lines.
